Φωνητικό συγκρότημα που δημιούργησε ο Ian Matthews στα τέλη του 1969. Το 1970 με το περίφημο σίνγκλ τους "Woodstock" ανεβαίνουν στο Νο 1 της Αγγλίας ενώ ανάλογη επιτυχία σημειώνουν και στην Αμερική. Μετά το (3) ο Matthews αποχωρεί από το γκρούπ ενώ οι υπόλοιποι συνεχίζουν σαν SOUTHERN COMFORT. Ηχογραφούν 3 άλμπουμ πριν διαλύσουν οριστικά στα τέλη του 1972. Ο Matthews ακολούθησε σόλο καριέρα
